In our opinion the future of prefabricated wooden houses is a simple but well reasoned solid construction without any glue or synthetic elements. This leads not only to real sustainability, but creates a pleasant indoor climate and a friendly atmosphere.
The lightness of wood and the possibilities of prefabricating large-size elements qualifies wooden houses to densify an urban landscape. A city as Berlin has a huge amount of flat roofs that can carry light wooden constructions. People can live in individual houses with spectacular views in the middle of the city.
The proposed single family house offers 2-3 rooms on ground level and an open living room with kitchen and eating space on the top floor. The generosity of the space is increased by large-size windows in walls and roof together with the opening gesture of the sloped roof itself.
The serving functions are concentrated along side one outer wall. The rest of the space can be organized without any constraints.
