After turning into an unmissable global destination, Dubai confirms its ever-growing value with the second edition of the Downtown Design fair, which has been livening up the luxury city of United Arab Emirates until today. Started on October 28 at the base of Burji Khalifa – world's tallest skyscraper – the event represents an important stage for global commercial design, challenged by this year's theme: "Original Design". With more than 50 participating brands, the fair exhibitors increased by 20% in comparison to the opening edition; moreover, the registrations increased by 300%, proving that Downtown Design is already renowned in the design field, also thanks to the accurate organization sponsored by Emaar Properties and Dubai Culture.
Like any quality fair, Downtown Design features an intense programme with many on-topic and inter-discpilinary events – such as seminars, workshops and exhibitions – in order to enrich the city and entertain its visitors, also creating a dialogue between international and local designers, consistently with the effort of the fair itself, aimed at connecting history and future, regional and global, by discussing the latest trends and innovations.
Thanks to the 4-day event and its success, Dubai keeps on going further on the path that has been turning the ciry into the new hotspot for modernity and creative industries, as proved by the pick of many emerging designers who specifically choose Downtown Design to debut on the international stage of global commercial design.
